As CEO of Independence Pharma and a Principal at Odin Pharma Consulting, Stefan is extremely active in the pharmaceutical industry. With more than 30 years of commercial experience, primarily as a senior marketing executive, he has established a proven track record of contributing to the success of rapidly growing pharmaceutical companies. He was a key member of the Richwood/Shire senior management team and played a leadership role in launching Adderall®, initiating the development of Intuniv® and establishing the CNS portfolio of products. Stefan has held senior marketing positions with Pharmacia and Forest Laboratories and executive positions with Vela Pharmaceuticals and Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals. Most recently Stefan completed a long-term consulting assignment for Supernus Pharmaceuticals where he was part of the senior management team that successfully launched two anti-epilepsy drugs. Stefan earned his BA from Columbia College and MBA from The Stern School of Business, NYU.
As President of ParagonRx, Jeff solidified the company’s status as a leader in the field of REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies) and benefit-risk management for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industries. As co-author of two pharmaceutical risk management books and consultant for numerous risk management programs, he is a proven pioneer in applying risk management principles to the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to co-founding ParagonRx, Jeff co-founded Empower Health, a business that integrated care management tools and services to improve clinical health outcomes of people with chronic illness. Jeff has extensive pharmaceutical industry experience, having led marketing, medical education, strategic planning, and business development organizations at DuPont Pharmaceuticals and DuPont Consumer Health. He is an Adjunct Instructor in the Lehigh University Healthcare Systems Engineering Program that applies industrial systems improvement methods to the complex healthcare system He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Katz School of Business at University of Pittsburgh.
Jeff is Co-Founder and Managing Director at Skysis. He is a creative and energetic financial executive who has successfully helped lead life science companies through periods of significant growth. Jeff’s experience in the life sciences industry has covered the full spectrum from clinical development through marketing exclusivity. Prior to co-founding Skysis, Jeff served as Chief Financial Officer for Medpace Inc., a private, global clinical research organization. Prior to Medpace, Jeff served as Senior Vice President, Finance for Shire Pharmaceuticals Group, plc, a marketer of specialty biopharmaceutical products. In both roles, Jeff was involved in the development and execution of global strategies necessary to achieve sustainable growth. Jeff evaluated and directly managed several corporate financing, merger, acquisition, in-licensing and asset divestiture transactions during his tenure in these roles. As importantly, Jeff’s insight and management of these organizations from nascent corporations to organizations with scalable infrastructure was critical to their growth and success. Jeff received his BSBA from Xavier University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Appropriately referred to as the serial entrepreneur, Ed has built four companies that total over $200 million in combined revenues. The most recent, before forming Fingerpaint where he serves as CEO, was Palio, a full-spectrum advertising and communications agency in Saratoga Springs. Ed’s vast experience in the field of marketing and advertising has made him a dynamic leader in developing problem-solving and profit-increasing strategies. As the founder of CHS and Palio, he has been a key player in the development of a broad variety of marketing and strategic endeavors for more than 40 clients. Prior to creating CHS and Palio, Ed was vice president of product management at Cardinal Health. He also held positions in sales, market research and marketing management at several pharmaceutical companies, including Fisons and Sandoz.
Norm is Co-Founder of Skysis, bringing to the organization his unique background of consumer and pharmaceutical commercial expertise. With more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, information and commercial services industries, he’s an expert in executive/operational management, commercialization planning and new product/service development. Prior to co-founding Skysis, Norm served as President of inVentiv Advance Insights, a division of inVentiv Health. In this role, Norm provided executive management of inVentiv’s Commercial Analytics, Market Research, Brand Management, New Product Planning, and Managed Markets practice areas, while also serving on the President’s Leadership Group. Before inVentiv Health, Norm was Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Products Group at Symphony Health (formerly NDC Health/Wolters Kluwer). His background also includes holding a variety of positions in sales, marketing and new product planning on the client side of the business. Norm received his BA from Occidental College.
As Skysis Co-Founder and Managing Director, Dan brings more than 20 years of life science experience including assignments encompassing brand management, new product planning and business development/licensing for small, mid-size and global pharmaceutical and biotech organizations. Prior to co-founding Skysis, Dan served as Chief Client Development Officer for inVentiv Health, where he was responsible for providing global and strategic business development and marketing leadership across the organization. Dan’s background also includes holding a variety of positions in sales, marketing, business development and strategic planning on the client side of the business. Dan is a published thought leader and frequent speaker on emerging trends and their impact on the commercialization of prescription and non-prescription healthcare products. He received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and BA from the University of Arizona.
